Farewell

We had to say goodbye to one of our fish this week. Ever since we got the fish the white one (named Mommy) has picked on the little black/gold one (named Nemo) and it was just too much for him. I thought that I would post the obituary that Josh wrote up, Aspyn and I were at a play date when he took care of it and so he sent it by text to let me know.Just to let you know Nemo died last night, he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:47 AM on February 1st 2010, he was approximately two months old. It is thought that he passed away peacefully during the night, after a long struggle of repeated abuse. Upon confirmation of his death, he was given a quick funeral service and was then buried at sea. Nemo left behind an abusive wife, who is the only person of interest in an on going investigation in his unexpected death. In lieu of flowers, Nemo requested cash donations so that a much bigger fish can be purchased and avenge his death.
(Just so you know, we did get another fish yesterday to replace Nemo. Aspyn picked out the same color of fish and named him Nemo. But he is bigger and fights back so they seem to be getting along. Hopefully we don't have any more deaths.)

As you all now see, it is quite clear why Josh was such a valuable team member when it came to writing plays.

ha ha ha! we had a very similar experience with one of our fish. We really need to raise some awareness of "Fish Abuse" It happens more than we realize.
