Anya's first time swimming and other pictures

My parents have a pool in the community where they live that we wanted to take the girls swimming while we were there. Unfortunately the whole time we were staying at my parents it was too cold to go (Aspyn went once with her cousins and froze). So after we got done taking family pictures we went up there with Cecilee and Brandon (they were living there at the time). So here are some pictures of Anya's first time in the pool.
All ready to go! She was not a fan of the hat!
In the water with Daddy, she wasn't quite sure what to think of it.
Again, not too sure of the water but at least it was warm. We just toke her to our pool here in Jersey and she didn't want to get in because it was too cold.
Our little fish with Abi. Aspyn loves to go swimming.

Here are some random pictures of Daddy torturing Anya. Anya was actually asleep at the time and had no idea what was going on so it really wasn't torture.
Building a tower on Anya's head
And all done, it actually fell when he tried to put anymore on it.

Family Pictures

Brandon (my brother-in-law) was very nice and took our family pictures for us while we were in Utah. I think that we ended up with a lot of good ones for what we had to work with. Aspyn is doing this thing lately that she will have her head turned towards the camera but not her eyes and so when you tell her to look at the camera she will yell at you that she is! She's so funny. And then with a two month old that was not happy that day, you just roll with the punches. Here are a few of them for you to see.

A Trip to Logan and Boise

While in Utah (I know I have been saying that a lot) we decided that we wanted to take a quick trip up to Logan and then we decided to go up to Boise to see Josh's brothers new house and see my sister while we were there. Anyway, we had so much fun going up to Logan (we miss it a lot, it seems more like home to us than Provo does). Here are some pictures of both trips!
Cute Aspyn in front of the new fountain at the Temple
In front of the Temple (I have a similar picture of her from a year ago and it's amazing how much she's changed)
A great shot of the Logan Temple that is now hanging in the girl's room.
The "gang". The twins and Maria came up with us and were good sports as we dragged them around Logan.
Our family at the Temple
Aspyn on the bus. Her favorite thing to do when we lived in Logan.
Maria, Anya (although you can't see either one of them), and me on the bus
The Twins riding the bus.
Aspyn at the fountain on USU campus. We had to go there too while we were there. (I also have a similar picture of Aspyn in the same place from a couple of years ago.)
Maria and the twins on campus.
Anya and I on campus hanging out in the shade

Other things we did while in Logan:
Ate lunch at Old Grist Mill (So good)
Went to a park and played
Took care of some business at our bank
Went at saw everyone at Josh's old work (iWorQ Systems)
Went and got some things at Gossner's Cheese Outlet
Had dinner with friends Chris and Susie at Firehouse Pizzeria (really miss that place)
Went and saw our friends Allison and John
Had lots and lots of fun!

Then we headed up to Boise to have some fun with our siblings and Aspyn had lots of fun with her cousins. Unfortunately my camera's batteries died and the extra batteries that I thought I had in my case were actually dead batteries that someone had put in the bag instead of the garbage (not naming any names here)! So I only have a couple of pictures from that adventure.
One the way up Travis fell asleep with Aspyn and we had to take a picture of how cute they were together!
The first picture that we got of Anya smiling, finally.
And then she saw the camera and stopped, every time!!
And then, the batteries die!

Anya's Blessing / 2 Month Pictures

While we were in Utah we blessed Anya along with Zoe (my sister, Cecilee's, little girl) in my parents ward. It was so much fun to have a double blessing, unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of the two girls together that day. That day just happened to be when Anya was 2 months so I took a lot of pictures of her. Here are some of the best.
Aspyn always has to get in the pictures too.
The whole family, we had to beg to get a smile out of Aspyn.

Aspyn's First Real Hair Cut and Animals

While we were in Utah we went down to my sister's to get my hair done and Aspyn's got her first real hair cut (I have cut her hair before but this was the first time she had it done by someone that knows what they are doing). Aspyn also likes going down the Jerilee's house because of all the animals she gets to play with. Here are some pictures of all the fun she had down there.
Here she is with the cat. She had so much fun playing with this cat.
And I'm sure the cat just loved Aspyn so much, especially in this picture.
Already to get her hair cut.
Getting her hair cut.
She did such a good job of holding still for Jerilee.
She loved being able to see herself in the mirror getting her hair done.
The finished hair do. She looks so cute and her hair looks so much better than it did (and if you look closely you can see the fat lip she got on the first day of our trip).
Here she is playing with Daisy. Poor dog is not a kid person and so she really doesn't like Aspyn so much but luckily Aspyn doesn't know the difference.

Anya's Smile and Sunburn

Anya has been smiling since about 4 weeks old. But we had to really work hard to get a smile out of her so we had a really hard time getting it on camera because as soon as the camera comes out the smiles stop (we still have a hard time getting a picture of it). So one night before she went to bed Josh was playing with her and she started to smile a lot so I grabbed the camera to get a picture of it. And as usual as soon as the camera comes out she stops but this time it went from a smile to a big frown. Here is what it looked like...
Here is a close up look at that face...
She looks so sad but I swear a second before this she was smiling!
In this picture you can see her sunburned face too, the poor girl. We went to park day (we go every Monday with some families in our ward) and since it was overcast I wasn't thinking about keeping her all covered up and her face got a nice red glow to it. Luckily she didn't seemed bothered by it and it went right away. Put now I remember to put her hat on her when we are outside.

We're Back!!

We are back from three weeks in Utah visiting our families. Life is finally back to normal and I finally have time to blog about the last month. I will probably break it up over the next few days. Look below for my first of many, many posts! Keep checking back to see all the great pictures I have to blog about!

Birthdays!!

May brings birthdays to our house. Aspyn's birthday was something she had been talking about for months and was so excited when it FINALLY came! (of course the very next day she was talking about her next birthday). I can't believe that she is three already, although most of the time she acts older than that. Here is some pictures of her birthday.
Here is her cake.
She really wanted a Snow White cake and Josh came up with the idea to do a castle cake with it.
She loved her bike as you can see...
and her princess night light (she was too excited for me to get a good picture)...
and her clothes because she got skirts (she lives in skirts this summer)...
and her princess backpack (can you tell what she likes these days).
This reminds me of a first day of school picture! She was in heaven.
Our cute Three year old!!
She LOVED her cake!
This is her after she blew out the candles. I love the fact that she was proud of herself.
She is such a good big sister and shares her bike with Anya. Of course Anya doesn't know quite yet what a great big sister she has!
A few days later is my birthday. Here is me with my girls blowing out the candles on my cheesecake. I had a great birthday!
