The Carving of the Pumpkin!

Here are some pictures of us carving our pumpkin this year. Here is Daddy and Aspyn scooping out the guts. She doesn't seem to mind the messiness of it. She had a lot of fun.
Here is Mommy starting to carve the face.
Aspyn decided that she wanted to get in on the action. (Don't worry we didn't actually let her do anything, just pose for the picture)
This picture was just too cute not to post. She just looks so excited. This is a face that she makes a lot and this was the first time that I was able to catch it on camera. She is definitely a funny little girl.

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween is much better when you have kids! We decided to dress Aspyn as a pumpkin because Josh has always called her pumpkin. So, here she is in her costume, it's a little big but we thought it looked really cute. Here she is by the pumpkin that we carved, we tried to have it look like the face on her costume. She is also holding her treat pumpkin. But she would rather eat it then smile for the camera.
Here she is by the pumpkin again. She has a really funny face because we turned out all the lights and lit the pumpkin and then took the picture. I don't think she was quite sure what we were up to.
And here she is treat-or-tricking for the first time ever. We only went to two of our neighbors that we are good friends with because let's be honest, Aspyn's not going to eat the candy and Josh and I really don't need that much. Plus for the third Halloween that we have lived up here we have had no trick-or-treaters so we are left with all the candy for ourselves.
Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Happy Birthday Josh!!

Tomorrow is Josh's 25th Birthday!! I thought that I would post this today so that everyone could wish him a happy birthday. Although he is not too excited about being so old, he thinks that he is still 18 (he wishes)! So, Happy Birthday Josh!!

5 Months!

Aspyn is 5 Months Old now. Here are her 5 month pictures. I took a lot but she was being really cute and happy. She is getting so big and has now figured out how to crawl, she's not that great at it yet but she is getting the hang of it. We now have to look for her under the coffee table and make sure things that can't go in her mouth are not on the floor.

My New Toys!

We bought Aspyn a new toy this week, a "technology advanced" jumper (in Josh's words). It's like a saucer toy but the bottom is flat and she can jump up and down in it. She loves it.

But, of course, her favorite part of the toy... The Box!!

Her other new toy is the remote. She loves the remote so we gave her one that we don't use anymore and she will play and play with it.

Just My Size!

Aspyn thought that this rocking chair was the greatest, it was just her size! Here are some cute pictures of her having fun in the rocking chair.
Look how big I am!!
I really like this thing!
Stop tickling me Daddy!
Daddy's little girl, watching the Baseball Playoffs in between conference sessions!
Don't bother me, I have to see who wins!!

Conference Weekend with the Fam!

For Conference we went down for Josh's Mission Reunion and spent sometime with his family. Once Aspyn warmed up to them she loved all the attention that she was getting! Here are some pictures of her with her aunts and grandma while the boys were at the priesthood session.

Afternoon Conference session nap. Doesn't everyone take one? Aspyn was lucky though, she had a really good pillow!

Aspyn, our show off!

Today in church Aspyn decided to show off to everyone that we were sitting around. She kept smiling at them and laughing. Everyone thought that she was the cutest, happiest baby they have ever seen. She also really wanted to get down and play with the little boy that was sitting next to us in Sunday School. We have one social baby! So we decided to take some pictures of her while she was happy. The funny thing was right after we took these pictures I guess she decided that she didn't need to show off anymore and became really cranky. She does really well sitting up by herself until she gets really excited and happy...
Then she starts to slid...
and ends up on her back instead of sitting up!

Aspyn Swinging!

We have been getting Aspyn to fall asleep for her naps by putting her in her swing and turning the piano on to play some music. Usually once she falls asleep we put her in her bed to nap. Today before church she fell asleep and we really didn't think she looked comfortable at all but it didn't seem to bother her. Josh though it was so cute he had to take some pictures of it.

Bear Lake

Our 3rd Anniversary was on September 17th. We decided to go and spend a couple of days up at Bear Lake. It was beautiful! We went up Saturday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. Here are some of the pictures that we took while we were there. And of course we had to try their famous Raspberry Shakes, you can get them just about anywhere up there. They were delicious! This is a view from the outlook. It is amazing how big the lake is and how blue the water is. It really does take your breathe away.
Here is Josh and Aspyn on the beach in front of our hotel. We literally only had to walk about 30 feet from the door of our hotel to the lake. It was a lot of fun.
Here is Aspyn doing one of her favorite things, sucking on her pack (notice the ring of drool she is leaving on it). If it is near her mouth or in her hand, she is sucking on it.
A family picture taken by Josh on the beach. It was a little cold both days that we were there (it rained on Sunday) so Aspyn had to wear her St. Louis Cardinals hat.
Even though it was cold it sure did make for a beautiful sky. I couldn't resist taking a picture of the clouds.
Here is Aspyn driving home from Bear Lake!! We had to stop before we left to feed her and after she was done Josh put her up to the wheel and she got so happy. It was too cute not to take a couple pictures of.

4 Months!

Aspyn is now 4 months old. I took her to the doctors on Monday and she is 12 lbs 14 oz and 24 1/4 inches long. She is in the 45 percentile in both. We think that's pretty good considering who her parents are. Here are some of her 4 month pictures. Maybe one day she will get more hair, unfortunately it looks like she got the Walker genes on that one. One of these days she may take off crawling, at least she really wants to. We think that she is the cutest and smartest baby ever, but we may be a little bias.

Eating Real Food!

We feed Aspyn Rice Cereal for the first time on Saturday and she loved it. She knew exactly what she was suppose to do and would open right up when the spoon came full of food.
It was a little messy so we stripped her down to her diaper. She has since gotten much better and doesn't get so messy. She really loves getting something besides milk. She has been wanting us to feed her for weeks now.
This is her after face! She really loved it! Now every night she gets really excited when she sees me making her food. I'm glad that she loves it so much.

Playing with Mommy's New Toy!!

We just bought a new digital piano and Aspyn loves it! We put her up next to it and she automatically puts her hands right to the keys and tries to play. It is way cute.

She loves to listen to it play music and listen to all of the different sounds that it can make.
It's nice to have something to calm her down when she gets upset.
