San Fransisco!!

We were able to take a little vacation last month to San Fransisco because Josh went for a Conference. It was a lot of fun and we did a lot while we were there. One of the things we did that I didn't get any pictures of was Phantom of the Opera. It was amazing and I wish that I had taken my camera to get a picture of the theater. Below is a lot of pictures of things that we did (and I mean a lot).
During the day while Josh was at the conference I would go window shopping. Our hotel was right downtown so we were close to so much. This is a picture of the shopping center that was 7 levels (this is from the top level looking down). It was so big that I am sure I didn't even see most of it.
On Wednesday night we went with Chris Tressler (Josh's friend who was also there for the conference) to Fisherman's Wharf. Chris was nice enough to snap this picture of us on the Cable Car.
Here is the Cable Car on the turntable.
The Fisherman's Wharf sign.
This is Alcatraz Island from the Pier at night.
If you look really close (and I mean really close) you can see the sea lions that live at Pier 39. We couldn't really see them but we could here them, it was really cool.
The Christmas lights that you can see there are on a boat not a house. The boats along the Pier were all decked out. This is were we had dinner that night and it was a very cool experience with fish (for Josh and Chris) and sourdough bread, the full San Fransisco experience.
Here is Ghirardelli Square, the old chocolate factory. We had to go there and buy chocolate of course.
Here we are on the beach. This was the first time that Josh had seen the Pacific Ocean.
This is Alcatraz Island during the day from the other side.
The Golden Gate Bridge. We took this right before we started walking across.
It is really big up close, it's really amazing.
Yep, it started raining while we were on the bridge. It did make for a cold walk.
Looking back at the city.
The Christmas Tree at Union Square.
Macy's all decked out in Christmas Decorations.
The view from our hotel room.
Yerba Buena Gardens, I was so amazed that the flowers were still in bloom.
Very pretty waterfall in the Gardens.
The Gate to Chinatown.
The buildings in Chinatown.
Josh in front of Willie Mays statue at Giants Stadium.
This is the place that everyone sits in kayaks and boats and wait for home run and foul balls.
The inside of AT&T Park.
The whole reason we went to San Fransisco. Josh in front of his poster of his research for his Master's project.
And of course Aspyn, she stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and had lots of fun. This is one of the things we brought back for her. We saw it in Chinatown and thought it would be so cute on her and we were right.

Playing in the Snow!!

Aspyn loves the snow and loves to watch it from the living room. This was her first time out in it this year. She wasn't very happy that day and lately we have been having a hard time taking pictures of her because she just wants to play with the camera. So here are a couple of pictures from that day.Her and Daddy in the middle of all the snow.
In this picture she is trying to get to me to get the camera, you can see behind her Josh's attempt at a snowman, it wasn't the best snow for that.

Workout with Aspyn!

Tonight Josh decided to show Aspyn some workout moves. It was too funny not to take pictures of. So, here is a Workout with Aspyn!
First, she had to pose for a picture, she is such a show off.
Then a few sit-ups,
After that a couple of push-ups,
Then to finish off some stretching.

"I'm a Big Girl Now!!"

At least that's what Aspyn would say if she would talk. She has had a lot of changes in the past few weeks. She is out of her high chair and in a booster seat. And last weekend we switched her crib into her toddler bed. It was a rough first night but she is doing much better now and loves that she can get on and off her bed by herself. Here is a before and after of her room.

18 Month Pictures!!

Thank you Tiffany!! She took these pictures for us when we were down in October!! I took her in for her 18 month check-up today and here are her stats Weight: 20 lbs 15.5 oz. (10 percentile) Height: 32 1/4 inches (75 percentile). She is still tall and skinny!! She went to nursery a couple of weeks ago and she loves it and it's nice for Josh to be able to listen in class now. Here is our 18 month old!!

Pumpkins and Halloween

Okay, so I am really late in posting this but I still want to do it so here it is. In North Logan every year they have something called the pumpkin walk. People put together a scene using only pumpkins or other kinds of squash. Here are a few pictures from that night.
Noah's Ark
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir
A pond and waterfall coming out of the pumpkin.
They had a whole bunch of these cut outs to take pictures in. Here is Aspyn as Winnie the Pooh.
Aspyn as Snow White.
Aspyn sitting on Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Aspyn and Daddy inside a pumpkin.
The day before Halloween is when we carved our pumpkin. Aspyn was interested for about 2 minutes and then she was off doing other things so it ended up being Josh's project while I made sure Aspyn stayed out of trouble. Here are a couple of pictures from that night.
Aspyn one of the only times she was at the table to watch.
The finished product.
On Halloween we went to our wards Trunk-or-Treat. Aspyn wasn't quite sure at first and someone with a Fred Flintstones mask really scared her but by the end she was loving it and knew that she was suppose to reach in the bowl, get a piece of candy, and put it in her pumpkin.
Standing by our trunk.
Getting ready to go around and get candy.
This is what she did after we got home. Sat and tried to eat all of her candy. She got really mad when we took it away.

Our Little Snitch

The other day I made bread. Josh was washing the dishes and Aspyn has to help with everything so she was up on a chair by the sink. The bread was on the counter under a dish cloth while it cooled. I was clearing the table and looked over to see Aspyn eating bread. I thought that she had just gotten some crumbs off the counter but saw that it was much bigger than crumbs. Then I saw this...

She had just had a whole piece of bread but I guess she wasn't done yet. And the funny thing was that she would take a little bit and then cover it back up so that we couldn't see the chunk missing. She's too smart for her own good.

Fall Break!!

For fall break we went down to Utah County and had lots of fun. We spent time with Josh's family who all came into town and we took family pictures. Then Tiffany brought all her fun props and backgrounds and took lots of fun pictures that I will post as soon as I get them. Then while Josh was hunting with his dad and brothers I took Aspyn down to see my sister Jerilee and all her animals. She was in heaven there and I am pretty sure she would be totally fine if I had left her there. So here are some pictures of all the fun we had.
There was only one baby swing and so they had to share but they really didn't mind at all.
They had so much fun together.
Feeding the ducks. It was Aspyn's first time and she didn't quite get it, she kept eating the bread instead of throwing it to the ducks. Kind of a hard concept to get I guess.
I'm not sure who was more willing to pose for this picture but my guess is Aspyn.
She really likes to pick up rocks and sticks but unfortunately it wasn't rocks or sticks on the ground here.
Petting the horses, a dream come true.
She has the best face in this picture. She loved this dog and chased him everywhere.
She really wanted to go and pet this cow but it didn't really like Aspyn and she was drinking so I figured it probably wasn't a good idea to sneak up on her. Aspyn didn't like me taking her away.
None of the cows really liked her and kept mooing at her to get away but Aspyn just loved it all the more when they mooed.
Her first experience on a tramp and she wasn't too sure about it.
Here is the dog and cat which kept trying to hide from Aspyn.
By the end she loved the tramp and kept wanting to get on.
